Christmas Advent Countdown: 24 SVG Houses
Are you looking for a Christmas Advent Countdown Calendar to prepare for the Christmas season? I’ve put together this little village of 24 paper houses to create a unique and fun way to countdown the month of December leading up to Christmas day.

This post contains affiliate links, which means I make a small commission at no extra cost to you. See my full disclosure statement here.
These Advent Houses can be created using a Cricut or Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. The files (24 houses) are available for purchase as a digital download. To view other 3D paper projects, visit the SVG Shop.

Light them up in the evening with LED lights to create a soft glow. I’ve included links to a few different LED lights that I have used under the supplies section. If selecting the LED strips, choose a white colored string so they blend in with the houses. You may need to purchase the wall plug separately and a USB power bank if you don’t have access to an outlet. While LED lights remain cool to the touch while lit, never leave lights on and unattended.

Each house is a different size. For reference, the average size house is 5 inches tall, 2.5 inches deep, and 3 inches wide. The table they are displayed on in the photographs is 48 inches long.

These Christmas Advent Houses are available as a digital download in SVG, DXF, EPS, PNG, and PDF file formats to accommodate most cutting machines. Let me walk you through each of the house designs up close.

Cutting Machine Video Tutorials
Do you need help figuring out how to use Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio to create your paper Advent houses? I’ve made step-by-step videos in both. At this time, I can only offer tech videos for these two cutting machine types. If you are using a cutting machine other than Cricut or Silhouette, there are basically three steps to make these paper houses, create the pen lines, score lines, and cut lines.

Dear Laura,
the village looks so supercute!!! I absolutely fell in love with all the little details.
This year I have no chance to do such a big project for chrismas. But I am sure it´ ll wait for me.
Sending greetings from germany,
Stephanie
Thank you Stephanie. I’m so glad you like it! It is a large project, but could be broken down. You could make a few of your favorite houses this year and then add to it next year. That’s the fun of crafting, it’s like putting together a puzzle…never meant to be done in one sitting. 🙂
Kedves Laura!

Hi Balla. I’m so glad you like them and thank you for reaching out. The files do include printable PDF’s of each individual house that are pre-formatted on 8.5 X 11 paper. They can be printed on light-weight card-stock. My inkjet printer will take 65 lb. card-stock, but you will need to see if your printer accepts card-stock. I’m sorry that I cannot change the price or break up the package at this time. The checkout is a pre-formatted form and I cannot customize it.
Kedves Laura!
Köszönöm szépen a válaszod!
You’re welcome!
These are so pretty and festive! I was hoping I would be able to print the templates on a regular printer and cut them out by hand, but it looks like the png/pdf files aren’t formatted for that. Guess this is going on my list of projects to make if I ever buy a Cricut!
Hi Erika. Thank you for reaching out and for your kind comment. The Advent Houses can be printed and cut by hand on 8.5 X 11 light-weight cardstock. However, there is a fill color on the PDF files, so it will use a bit of ink and you will need to put the printed side on the inside of the houses. You will lose the line surrounding the windows and numbers. Also, be sure that your printer can handle cardstock. The houses are truly designed for a cutting machine, but I know there are many handcrafters who would enjoy this project.
Is it possible to print the pdf file to cut by hand if you don’t have a cutting machine?
